Kim Vanden Hengel - Chairperson
Kim has worked in the non-profit space for her entire career - in West Africa for 12 years and in Australia for 25 years. She has worked and travelled extensively in Africa and Asia. She has had management/leadership roles for a range of charities, most recently working in philanthropy for Ozharvest and Dementia Australia. Kim has served on the boards of World Vision Australia, Interserve and WorldShare (formerly CNEC/Partners International). Kim holds a B.A. Dip.Ed (French/Italian), Master of Development Studies and Graduate Certificate in HR Management & Coaching. She volunteers in her local community to support those facing homelessness and with her husband, has offered refuge to women and children seeking a safe space, down the years.
Kate Hulusi - Secretary
Kate has worked in the corporate, public and non-profit sector for the past 25 years in senior management roles with an emphasis on marketing, business development and project management. In the charity sector Kate has been Executive Officer of two charities and Chair of a national mental health charity. Her qualifications include a Masters of Administration, a Graduate Certificate in Management and E-Commerce, a Bachelor of Marketing and Certificate IV in Education and Assessment. Kate has a long history of supporting Women’s issues and charities. Her first volunteer role was as Women’s Officer for the Student Union at Monash University, to being a Board member of the Women’s Domestic Violence Crisis Centre to raising considerable funds for educational scholarships for women and young girls. She is passionate about women’s empowerment which is a critical aspect in achieving gender equality.
Louise Juracich - Treasurer
Louise is an experienced manager with over 18 years’ experience in the health and community sectors. She has worked in health roles in government (state and local) and in management and project roles in the non-profit sector, particularly in the areas of health promotion and community development. For the past seven years, Louise has worked in roles focussing on the prevention of violence against women and the promotion of gender equity and she is passionate about women’s rights and fighting the exploitation of women and girls. Louise holds a Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Science, Graduate Diploma of Medical Anthropology and Master of Public Health.
Alex Gorman - Director
Alex has a Bachelor of Social Work degree from the University of NSW where she graduated with honours. Her early work involved working as a visiting Social Worker at various hospitals throughout NSW. Later she retrained as a part time executive coach and group facilitator working for the Institute of Executive Coaching and Leadership and has coached individuals in the banking, insurance, telecommunications education and not for profit sector including Telstra, ING, NSW Health, NAB & Lifeline. Alex then joined the Positivity Institute working in the fields of Positive Psychology and Coaching Psychology applying the science of wellbeing to individuals and students in schools. Alex has an expertise in evidence-based practice with particular skills in the use of Positive Psychology tools for flourishing and well- being at work, strengths-based frameworks, and a range of counselling approaches. She has chaired the Centacare Advisory Board in Broken Bay, been a Parish Council President and chaired Afterschool and Occasional Care organisations.
Corey Langman - Director
Corey has worked for several years as a lawyer in the Attorney-General's Department of South Australia. She was admitted to practise law in 2016 after having graduated from the University of Adelaide with a Bachelor of Development Studies and a Bachelor of Laws (First Class Honours), for which she completed a Law Research Dissertation on whether modern criminal sentencing practice is adhering to fundamental sentencing principles in respect of convictions for child exploitation material. Corey was an intern at the New York City Alliance Against Sexual Assault where she advocated for legislative and budgetary reform in favour of sexual assault victims. She has served on the Board of Lutheran Disability Services and has a broad range of other volunteer experience, including with World Vision Australia and at her local church.

Melinda Tankard Reist - Movement Director
Melinda Tankard Reist is an author, speaker, media commentator, blogger and advocate for women and girls. She is best known for her work addressing sexualisation, objectification, harms of pornography, sexual exploitation, trafficking and violence against women. She is a co-founder of Collective Shout. Melinda is an ambassador for World Vision Australia, Compassion Australia, Hagar NZ and the Raise Foundation. She is named in the Who’s Who of Women Australia and the World’s Who of Women.
